Darrell and Nate are amazing to work with! I had the pleasure of working with them for over a year as I planned my wedding. I toured countless wedding venues and I must say they were the only venue that truly made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with (which I know I wasn't!!). They were very responsive and extremely helpful with allll of my questions. Their hospitality goes above and beyond expectations. Even my friends and family who attended our wedding told me not only how beautiful the venue was but how impressed they were with the owner’s involvement (yes Darrell and Nate both attended my wedding!). It gave me peace of mind having them there but also felt like they were a part of the family.
There are many factors that set the Melissa Barn apart from other wedding venues but the most important – they are constantly making improvements to their venue! From the time I signed my contract to my wedding date (about 1 year and 4 months) they had planted, beautiful landscaping added turf, updated the master bath in the house, and countless other improvements. It was amazing to see the progress throughout this time and I am excited to see what else they do! Pictures do not do this venue justice, please go tour it!

So let's start at the beginning... I didn't want a wedding and my fiancé who is now my husband put me on a budget. After countless Google searches and dead-end venue visits… I came across The Melissa Barn. The owner Mr. Darrell was my saving grace and angel 😇 . I was at the point of just not doing a wedding and he worked with me. From day 1 he worked with me, helped with other vendors, and treated me and my family as if we were his own. Our big day was like a scene out of a movie because of Mr. Darrell and his wonderful son Nate. For this, we will forever be grateful 🙏. If you're looking for a venue that feels like home with an abundance of love.. this is it!!!

From the moment we started working with the owners at Melissa Barn, we were pleasantly surprised and amazed by their hospitality and willingness to help us find the perfect venue for our wedding. They even held the venue for us during an ice storm to ensure we had a chance to look at it in a safe manner. The moment we set eyes on the property, we knew it was the place for us! The atmosphere and layout of the property are so inviting and just welcome families and call for a calm, fun, and inviting nature. If the property itself didn’t sell us, we met Darrel and Nate and knew immediately that this was the venue for us! They were so warm and willing to help us in every way they could. They are honest and trustworthy and you can tell they truly love what they do. Darrel has such a passion for what he does and for making every family feel right at home in his presence. He and Nate are so personable, sincere, and helpful.
The property has everything you could want and need. With a complete area for hosting outside on the property with couches & a pavilion, to a nice HUGE pool that is perfect for hosting your guests. The venue was so beautifully laid out and impressive. Our friends and family could not stop raving about how beautiful everything was, not only during our wedding but the entire weekend. Darrell and Nate were more than accommodating; answering every question we had with patience and friendliness, going out of their way to provide items that we need, and rearranging furniture and chairs per our requests. They even went as far as to come out to the property during our stay when we had the wrong setting on the refrigerator and thought it was not working. They spoiled our wedding guests by carting them from the parking lot to the venue and even spoiled my husband by letting him drive around the property in their golf cart the whole weekend!
I can not talk about this property and the owners enough! By the time we were done with the wedding weekend, we were truly sad because we felt like Darrell and Nate were part of our family and we wanted to take them home with us! Simply put, BOOK THIS VENUE! You will NOT be disappointed! This venue is a true 10 out of 10 and the hosts are even more amazing than the venue. Thank you Darrell and Nate for making our wedding dreams come true!

“We can never thank Darrell enough for helping us make our special day absolutely perfect!! He was so easy to work with and accommodating to all of our needs. This brand new venue is GORGEOUS, inside and out! Our guests still talk about how beautiful the venue was. We loved that we got to have our dream outdoor wedding and indoor reception! Our added bonus was being able to have our out-of-town relatives lodge ON the wedding site! It was very convenient, clean, and cozy. We wanted our wedding to be as stress-free as possible and it was just that! Being able to have the venue site for the whole weekend helped make everything go smoothly. We didn’t have to rush to clean or to get everything set up which was so nice to not have that extra worry! We were able to spend the whole weekend with our family all together creating so many special memories that we will hold dear to our hearts!
